Hello!

My name is Jane and I’m a fully accredited, DVSA‑registered Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with twenty years of experience teaching learners across Stoke-on-Trent.

Before becoming an instructor, I worked as a teacher, which means I’m able to adapt every lesson to suit each individual’s learning style. My goal is to help every pupil become a calm, confident, independent and safe driver.

My Story

I became a driving instructor for one simple reason: I’ve always loved teaching.

Before I ever sat in the passenger seat with a learner, I spent years as a teacher, helping people grow in confidence and develop new skills. When I decided it was time for a change, I knew I still wanted to teach - just in a different way. Becoming a driving instructor felt like the perfect fit.

Funny enough, I wasn’t always the calm driver I am today. I used to be absolutely terrified of driving… until life forced me to get behind the wheel and get on with it and somewhere along the way, that fear turned into enjoyment, then confidence, and eventually a genuine passion. That journey is a big part of why I do what I do now. I understand nerves. I understand overthinking.

I understand what it’s like to sit in the driver’s seat and feel unsure, and I also know how amazing it feels when everything finally clicks.

My teaching style is calm, patient, and supportive. I work hard to create a relaxed environment in the car, because I know that people learn best when they feel comfortable. Whether you’re a complete beginner who’s never touched a steering wheel or someone who’s had lessons before and wants to build confidence, I tailor every session to suit your pace and your personality.

My goal is simple: to help you become a safe, confident, independent driver - and to make the journey there as positive and stress‑free as possible.
